i dun mind the no-eye contact thing, slong as nice expression captured... just like in yo pics, nice smiles

she's one hot one aint she

Hi, glad that you like the pics :)

Using the cheapo EOS350D, with 135f2L for this series. Did not fire flash.

PS yes: downsize, unsharp mask, colour adjustments, gamma & contrast adjustment (especially the first few shots which suffer due to some backlight problem), most are standard procedures though. And some minor touch-up of blemishes on the face etc..

great pics and i LOVE the colours! care to share your equipment set-up? (ok..i know equipment isn't everything, it's the eye behind the lens, but then...)

also, any PS?

It was quite late when he posted, maybe he didn't see the pics clearly. :)

Curious, is it a must to have eye contact; even for runway styled fashion shoot? It's not my cup of tea, so I really would like to find out. My own guess is... the apparel would be key.

I am happy to shoot without the 'eye-contact' and neither I am against shooting with. It's just has to be the right moment for me.

For fashion events, I even shoot model with her back turned against me. No eye-contact and nice poses to share. Sometimes the client/designer also love to flaunt their apparels from different angles.

Anyone wants to join me for shoe fashion shoot the next time? :bsmilie:

It is good that a photographer knows what he's after in an image and not to expect others to be on the same track as him all the time.

Btw, Kongo nice meeting up and hope to shoot together next time!

Yup, nice to meet up with you guys and it's a fun Kopi session that we had yesterday! :D

Certainly learn a lot from our new friend who resembles a stylish Pirate from the Caribbean Sea. ;)

Agreed with Wlyang...sometime I'm prefer not to have eye-contact but it's the lens that attract them...how I wish Canon can create what the Olympus do.

Anyway, this is not a model paid shoot...

Nice chatting with u guys too...especially Plastic share his years of pro photog experience with us.

hahaha I almost want to say that too...but none of us suit that style of outfit except him right...

You can say that again. JC student, holding on to what camera. (Please see carefully)

Think sooner or later (or already) will be D2Xs. Think he's earning that much himself? Think harder.

Looks like he has dissappeared from this thread? :bsmilie:

Plastic & Kongo,

Don't think +evenstar is a professional..

As I am quite curious of the kind of works evenstar produces, I tried some searching and found this instead:

Think he is just a junior college student. Looks like a young boy trying to act cool and pretending to be expert. :bsmilie:

No wonder he cannot differentiate between fashion shots and events. ;)

My fav. Certainly not one that you should keep for self viewing. :)

hey kongo, i think your shots are good. not all shots need eye contact to be good. just keep up the good work. i like the last 2 especially.

Thanks!

The last 2 shots are my favourite on Jamie too. :D

if all shots require eye contact then deem worth posting...
Ready,Lights,Action! forum would be a very boring place liao:bsmilie:

Kongo, thanx for sharing your Jamie Yeo pics....well captured though no eye contact.... keep your shutter running....;)

I don't see the point in having eye contact in an event. Event shots with eye contact isnt event shoot. How to capture moments with the subject staring at ur lens?
