Was looking at this old thread in APAD (thanks, Hexlord)

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=172435

In it, he is claiming the cockpit shot to be his... at that point in time, I questioned his supposed flight route and the actual aircraft heading in the photo. He brushed it off with some excuse abt military airbases and I let it go at that. I should've known though.... he claimed the shot was taken by a 300 f/2.8...

It's obvious that he is an outright cheat. Airliners.net has been informed.
Phillip, he has also told me that he used a 300mmf2.8 with a 1.7TC to shoot all the photos at our nice location(you know where lah)....siao 200 already too much for there still want to use 300?:thumbsd:
roti_prata must know next to nothing about cockpit shots, esp if Sam Chui shoots in there with a 10.5mm fisheye, 300mm is a ridiculous overkill liao.....cant even fit in there, how to shoot?unless he mean shoot every cockpit display and then piece them together in PS:bsmilie:

After reading his post on sitting in the jumpseat during take-off...blah blah blah. I thought it was a load of crap. There is no way in hell they would let you do that, not even pre 9/11. This guy is such a bullshit artist.

Hell you can't even get through 1st class during a flight let alone get to the cockpit and sit there for 6 hrs.

Something should be done about this joker. I agree with some of you that since he has such disregard for other people's work and using it without due credit and even claiming the work to be his own. It such a clear cut case of copyright infringement. I would sue his ass but that's just me.

I think you might want to consider making an offer to remove the images with a period of time, if still doesn't, then go to the police and make a report.
thanks again espn.An offer has already been made to him requesting the removal of the photos.;)

I hate to say this but I also wonder how many members here are using avatars that are not their own work.

I shot my own avatars, but it don't have any more space to put a bigi big
© copyright watermark.

I recall seeing some avatars with copyright watermarks over it.

I use my own avatar, taken by my own camera, using my own money to go up to KL to shoot that picture.;) ;)

IMO, my avatar is used to represent me, and I would only want my creations to represent me.
Anyone knows if roti_prata's avatar is portraying him in the picture?

Yes, that's roti's face...

Let's not go off topic here... this post is not abt avatars...

Busy making prata in anticipation of a fine, which owners of the pics are slapping him with soon :bsmilie:

Hey boy, dun get your parents in trouble for your silly actions ... think about it, dude. Be warned that it isnt worth it
