Is there any FZ series user into fashion runway shot?

i notice there is a drop of quality once i "upload" to photobucket... mmm.... bit more noise...

Online photo sharing sites often apply their own compression algorithmns to minimize storage space on their servers, thats why they appear 'worse' than it orginally is:)

is it bcos when u zoom in, f becomes 3. something n shutter speed has to increase?
cant use higher iso cos of noise?

I think TS is using FZ20, so its 2.8 constant...I'm more inclined to think its the lighting thats insufficient since I too was there just now...

then i supposed it is the very challenging lighting conditions...

so how to overcome this?

i hv difficulty shooting at the motor show last year even when the models/actions were much slower...

how is the photo..? accpetable?

at those condition i will most probably bump up to ISO200 and use flash with slow shutter speed... some blur, but a few good one is enough to justify.

:) Nice shots actually, I like the composition of the shots. I think you were on the left side of the stage if I am not mistaken judging from the angles. The slow shutter speeds (I hadn't seen the image info, this is just a guess) results in some motion blur and the ISO seems to be causing some noise.
Anyway, here's one of mine from the same show;p ... I was using a flash unit so the ISO can be held reasonably low.

Just curious - What about Focusing? If the model keeps moving, do you guys have any problem locking focus, especially when the lighting is not so ideal?

 I believe it is more due to the jpg compression when you save after resize... as far as I have been using photobucket, it doesn't resize my image or even throw away my EXIF tho some of them are 400KB.

you might want to do a resize again and save them at lower compression before uploading. ;)

:) Its quite problematic for the night events where the basic lighting is often not enough. On my FZ50 I have the option of using AF-C, so try to just track the models and hopefully the AF gets a good lock when I press the shutter. Quite hit and miss thing really.:embrass:
