Is there any free download hd movie maker software from internet?

HAI ALL...

I dun know much bout video editing.. i oni know how how to edit simple video from my digi cam.
the problem is my digi cam video file is WMV which is can edit it in window movie maker..

but my SLR video file is in HD which is i cant edit it in movie maker..
i hv tried to find any free download HD movie maker software in google.. such as AVS..
but wad a pity.. it will hv the watermark in the video which is it very distrubing to watch the video..

does anyone knows the free download HD movie maker software?

What camera are you using. I think you can use Zoombrowser (Canon) to convert to Movie Maker friendly format. I haven't tried it though.. Using Videostudio.

I am on Win 7, and if you download the free Window Live movie maker, the latest version. It can handle HD file from camera/video direct. I tried, if you just want to do simple editing or triming and the "raw" file is not too long, then this program got no issue. But if you want to do lots of split, trim, text.... the program will go haywire and the audio and video will lost sync. At least that what happen to me...

Becos of the audio sycn issue with WLMM, I am also looking for other editing option.
bascially, I need to have the basic function to input text, split video footage, delete unnecessary scenes, add background musics. Video and audio fade in and out.
Addition good to have function will be zoom in/out, panning, slow and fast motion.
