Is there a Golden Rule of Photography?

No upskirt :nono:

is just my Golden Rule.........

"If Your Pictures Aren’t Good Enough, You’re Not Close Enough! "

Robert Capa once said,
“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.”
Capa wasn’t advocating the use of longer lenses; he was telling us to physically get closer — to become more involved and intimate with our subjects. In fact, a wide-angle lens is often a better choice than a telephoto lens when you want to “zoom in” on your subject.

tungtong2010:think:

My rule is "There's No Rule", but end of the day we are accountable for our images. It's the end results that speak.

If TS have watch the movie "Kungfu Panda" you will know that The Secret Receipe is that there is NO secret receipe so why on earth you want to have restricting Rules to bind you?

Oh there is one Rule you cannot do without;

LET THERE BE LIGHT! unless of course you own a D3s you can practically shoot in the dark

no 1 rule must have camera

Got. Before you start your day must pray to the photography gods for blessings. Only then will they bless you with the vision to take photo. Also must put your equipment inside altar(dry cabi) and worship everynight before you go to sleep so that your equipment will bless you with great photos. Also must sayang your equipment when using, so that your equipment will be a good boy and not play stupid prank on you ;)

Shoot something you like.

Is there a Golden Rule of Photography?

Ok lah boys & gals, enough of baggering TS for this thread. I was curious & did a yahoo(not google) on the subject matter & came across some interesting reads.

Eddie Ng has his 10 golden rules & i like the one on toilet paper & robber

A family portrait photography has this to say "A family portrait photographer who wishes to take spectacular and significant family portraits should never ignore a golden rule in photography. This rule states that the family portrait photographer must know his or her subjects well enough in order to understand the relationship dynamics between each member of the family."

Heck, there's even one on 10 Photography Rules To Know & Break

so come back to sq 1 : The Rule is No Rule at all:lovegrin:
