Seems the same to me in terms of sharpness.

This is because I use a Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 ZF for this test.
The previous test image was shot with a Nikon 28-105 AFD (a S$400 lens). The difference in sharpness is HUGE!
A good lens does make a difference when using this camera.
Photobum, could you comment on the 'banding' that I'm seeing in the windows in the last two 100% crop pictures? I was wondering if that's banding from the sensor or a reflection from something else. Banding used to be a big problem with the older cameras. Less so these days, at least till the 50D came out, I think.
anyone using s5pro can enlighten me how to manually choose the focus point in single focus point mode?
Just like any other Nikon AF cameras, move the focus point up, down, left or right with the multi-selector.
i tired and the cursor didnt move leh... thats why i ask:sweatsm:
k i got it liaoz there is a latch on the D-pad and when i switch to a "dot" then can liaoz.. what does the L stand for??
ooic.. because sometime i really forgot to set the ISO in rush condition.. so auto is quite useful to me.. Yea many settings to play ard... Those film mode etc...
Bro sorry one last question.. how to select the focus point .. i press the directional pad cannot choose :sweatsm:
I think cos the outer circle of the direction pad is put to L, which is lock.
Don't worry. Those are reflections on the windows, not banding.I can see them with my eyes when I look outside my windows now.
It means our friend can use Canon L lenses. And because Canon L lenses are so advanced, it will select focus for the photographer automatically. No need for him to use focus point. :bsmilie:
Oh thank goodness! If the S5 got banding I might not be interested in it anymore.
But wait. L stands for Leica too! :bsmilie:
