Both Nikon and Canon systems work very differently, so you can't compare.

sorry bro lol ... i edited the post when i saw the posting... but u faster thn me!! lol

This is an interesting question. Traditionally I've needed to use ND graduate filters when dealing with landscapes to even out the exposure between the sky and the foreground. Because the S5 can hold detail so well in the highlights, does that negate the need for an ND grad, and rely instead on merging two edits of a single frame with PS into a HDR?

I told you before not to worry too much about the different film simulation mode. Am I right? :)

okies.. haha i didnt see it. my bad

Original multi power battery packs seldom have problem. Just make sure that all the connection pins are intact (there are 14 pins altogether), and the AA-size battery tray is included. Original Nikon MB-D200 should costs around S$230.

Wah.... You are a very big carrot head for others to chop.

S$230 is for a spanking brand-new one. Used ones should cost 30% to 40% less depending on their condition.

Actually I find that TCW like want to chop people. They quoted me $525 for a grey SB-800 whereas other shops could easily sell at $460-480.

S$525 is the price for their old stock. I know Don, Daniel and Nelson very well and they have been honest to me so far.

Nelson quoted me S$250 for a Nikon MB-D200 (last year), but he also told me other shops were cheaper. I went elsewhere to buy.

i dunno which better lol... seem s5pro beat D80 and D300 or equal by just a tid bit

the explanation is below the charts.

Look like the S5 pro perform much better within ISO800.. anyway what is the minimum shutter speed u all set for the auto ISO at ISO 800?

What are you talking here? :dunno:

The shutter speed setting depends on the intensity of illumination within the scene to be photographed.

Not necessary.

For me, a CPL filter works better (I use a Hoya Pro1 Digital). I do have both ND2 and 4 filters, but I bought them mainly for my previous Nikon D100.

Very nice, looks like a HDR image all by itself. Normally you may need an ND graduate filter to produce a similar effect. But as you can guess the ND graduate will affect the exposure of the buildings as well, not just the sky around it.

That is, unless you're on a well-paid assignment and can specially cut an ND graduate to shape, which sounds like a ridiculous task in itself. But wow, a picture like that could make a good selling point for the S5. Over the last few days I've been experimenting with a less contrasty tone curve on my 1Ds, and while I'm shooting in RAW the new tone curve can be implemented to the RAW file and it's helping to increase the perceived DR in some of my pictures from yesterday.

That said I can't expect too much since the sky itself was bright-white even to my eyes. If the eyes can't cope with the DR I doubt if a camera can.

Like I said, I have both the ND 2 and ND 4 filters, but don't use neither now ever since I bought my S5 Pro. For extreme cases, a CPL will do fine.

How about the worst senario? Because i am using Aperture mode all this while and the camera set the shutter speed. I am using Auto ISO at maxmium ISO as ISO800.. but i am not sure what the shutter speed to set in the auto ISO.. care to enlighten me thanks:sweat:
