Is that a M8 problem?

Hi all leica m8 users,
Had this problems when shooting under harsh sunlight, about 10-11.30am. Top left corner seem to have this lines under this light conditions(WA issues?). It happen about 1-2 times in about 300 shots, mostly using f2.0 for all shots. Using 50mm f2 summcron with UV/IR filter. Do you have this problem? should i send in for repair? regardless this happen before and after i had upgraded lastest firmware.

What brand of UV/IR filter u using?

Yep looks like some kind of reflection/flare sort of thing
just try without the filter

Leica UV/IR filter.

From the looks of ur pics, I suspect it's due to the internal reflection/refraction between your filter and the front lense elements.

But I suppose the Leica filter is multi-coated?

Try w/o the filter and shoot under harsh sunlight again to test.
