actually, i find the zeiss just nice when it's wide open, so i usually shoot it wide open. the contrast increases as you stop down.

2h crons should not hit the 2k mark, unless it's one of the old / limited edition black paints!!

there are also alternatives that are cheaper and some ppl claim / praise to be just as good, if not better - zeiss planar or konica hexanon.

u forgot Canon 50 f1.2, 1.4 and 0.95, Nikon 50 f1.4.

Rangefinders are also good for birding and airshows...Big frame with a small bird measuring no more than 3cm in the photo.

DEFINITELY NOT TRUE...IMHO most of the KH lenses are real gems...Just that not all of them are diamonds
