hi comex 2011 is drawing near but at the same time, amazon is also giving good deal for leans .. can you tell me if this is worth it?

I would go for it. I doubt prices in SG COMEX would come as close or better this.

Having used Nikon since 1992, i've never once had to use the warranty for their lenses.

I guess you have to weigh the decision between getting a local warranty (peace of mind?:dunno:for resale value?) or enjoying the HUGE savings by buying it there..

You might want to consider buying grey sets with shop warranty here in SG. price is not that far off if you factor in GST and shipping. And you do get 1 year shop warranty here in SG.

I am not sure but the shipping alone is going to hurt alot.
Some stores do not do overseas shipping also.

Don't forget. Buy from Amazon ship to SG, you have to pay US to SG shipping, and 7% on top of the costs. And you can only claim warranty service in USA.

I never bought from DD electronics, but heard that if you pay cash, you can take another 2% off the website listed price. And you do get 1 year shop warranty in SG.
