Is it worth to buy used 10d?

When i reached MS color at about 1 plus someone just walked out with a new 10D :think:

i was there at 3:30pm and the seller told me they have just sold 2 unit before me and they only have 5 on the stock but not sure true or not :dunno:

I see Matrix's point. Much as we would like to justify a camera is for taking pictures, great pictures depend on whose hands hold it, etc, you can't deny feeling that pain in the heart when a newer model comes into the market just when you've bought the older one at almost the same price.

I still shoot with the D30. Its AF is not as fast as the 10D, I may not need the 6MP, and there is no manual color temp adjustment, but I still take great pictures with it. BUT I can't deny I don't long for the 10D, just that based on my personal budget and lifestyle, it's financially foolish for me to splurge another $2600+ and get back less than $1000 on the D30 for the above mentioned extras.

Just bcos Canon has released a 1D MkII doesn't not mean there'll be a 10D MkII too with few upgrades. It might be a huge change?

Anyway, I would agree if you do need a camera now to use or learn, then no point wondering if you should get it now or later. For those who can wait, the patience might just pay off.

Hi,

I am still keep considering to buy a new 10D.

Used 10D now is cost about 2300-2400 k, and a brand new in the shop is just about 2800 including gst. It is only 400-500 different. But if i buy a new one, i am worried that 10D replacement is released within 6 month which i will loose a lot if i buy now.

Any comment?

Life is already so hard and unpredictable, so why worry what will come later? think positive, free your mind and go ahead and buy. Enjoy and satisfy your cravings. Maybe within 6 months 10D will triple in prices due to high yen, great demand, all the cameras recently introduced are lemons... :bsmilie:
