Is it still worth to get a TZ7 ?

What's best price you came across for TZ7 ? Was looking at getting the TZ10 but changed my mind after seeing the results of both TZ7 and TZ10.

Err, what's wrong with Tz10?
Isn't it an improved version of Tz7.
The cheapest I've check for Tz7 is $520 (one of those camera shops) and $470 (a display set at Best denki Taka)

dunno if it is win or lose. haha
just that the newer model TZ10 have 12.1mp wheras TZ7 have 10.1mp

Haha, no one noticed the gd stuff of TZ10..
TZ7 allmost perfect, only lack of manual exp control..and TZ10 perfect it with fully manual exp, A.priority & S.priority. Some more got GPS.
As for the compare to S90 , even small bro TZ7 already gd enough to knock down S90 liao, TZ7 with25mm wide-300mm tele compare with S90 28-105mm, any photographer sure kn 25mm is priceless for angle of coverage, DOF & perspective...Some more it is a Leica lens, try whether you can get a 25-300 Leica lens for $500 or not..another thing; S90 only VGA video and TZ7 with high res AVCHD video.., with all these, TZ7 still cheaper by more that $150..Yes, S90 got F2.8, but is only on 28mm, can't blur any B Groud, TZ7 1/2 stop slower, but with the Steady shot even low light also no pb.
Looking for a compact quite some time, think only TZ10 & Sony Hx5 can match, still perfer TZ10, waiting with lots of patient...

I did a search and found posting by oversea users. They shows TZ10 pic is poorer in quality to TZ7. TZ10 (52MP/cm2) cramps in more pixel per sq cm of CCD than TZ7 (45MP/cm2) hence don't expect better pic. Comparatively, LX3 has 24MP/cm2.

ya TZ10 pixel density higher... might means the noise to be worst off..

btw i hear ppl always say Leica lens ... the leica lens use in panasonic PnS is nothing even close to be as good as a stanalone leica lens... u guys are just falling into their marketing trick !!! ... forget what lens it such PnS uses... the final result counts

i also wont be surprise a S50 comes cleaner as the older S series camera from canon hv great clearity at low ISO ... ofcos those camera cannot handle even ISO400 with a clean shot, so thats where it lose out big time..

if you want low light shots, get the Sony TZ7 or HX5 and shoot in Hand Held Twilight mode. You will see very good pics in low light. Pics that other cameras cannot capture.

in USA HX5 is USD50 cheaper then TZ10 .....

i dont care if made in china... D90 also made in thai.. and its a solid camera

but i dun think its china made for hx5 , as its pretty higher end
