That is an excellent call! If my current tripod falls apart, I'll get that too. :bsmilie:

After going thru some reviews I believe 1541T can take max weight 8kg n support max 70-200 lens will it be insufficient for future upgrade? Or should I get 2540T which is 300g heavier. How much is 2540T?

So should I get a gitzo tripod with manfrotto ball head instead of markin as manfrotto are more rugged?

my manfrotto head is heavier than my gitzo tripod, it's a personal choice :D

just wonder does the manfrotto ball head allow the tripod to close properly??

My friend told me a good tripod can last 10year or more I'm just in doubt. Can someone advice? Thanks
I am using a brand called Hama which I bought back in 1994 for less than $80. I just took it out to use again this year. 16 years and it is still standing. I find it stable enough for my D90 as I do not use tele-lens also. Even last time when I brought it up to Shears Bridge with my FM2 also like that. Gitzo or not, you decide on what your pocket can afford. if you want a 2L car but can't afford a BMW, go for a Honda Accord then. :)
