Why don't u wait for the D100's successor? Rumour is that this model will be replace soon......... :bsmilie:

Nikon Service Center confirms that the motherboard on D70 is very much (what to do - technology progresses so fast ) faster/brilliant than the 2 yrs old technology. If feel is not a priority (anyway plastic is lighter ) you should consider the latest technology of D2H or D70.

Get this if you need a spare. Otherwise patience will pay at the end.

well, I had a D100.. went totally swimming... could not even turn on.. sent to Nikon center, they dried it.. and it is working agian.. phew!... :bsmilie:

I bought the D100 back in June'02. they dry it up for me free.. haha.. meantime they also loaned me a the D1. was contemplating whether I would change the shutter cuz they said the shutter is already 65k+

Did you ask how much to replace the shutter?
