I'm using Panny 14mm f/2.5, aperture priority with fstop 2.5 and iso800 the cam gave it a shutter of 1/20.

Nope didn't mod it. I heard from online that the internal infrared filter is quite weak so I decided to give it a try with the Hoya R72. Quite satisfied with the result.

1/20 with hand held will definitely have some hand shake blur. try and use a tripod if u have to shoot at such slow shutter speed.
iso800 in ur case have already made the picture very noisy and in some areas, its really unbearable, like the centre area which have the sky and clouds.

Thanks for the advice. I notice the noise created by the high iso too but I don't think I can reduce the iso further. Doing so means I need to have longer exposure time which is going to make my trees look bad if there are wind blowing..

yes, i know the difficulty of it. so i would recommend the use of tripod for slow shutter speed.

1/20 at 14mm handheld shld be bearable if using IS and proper breathing..
if possible, take a couple extra shots for insurance..

of coz, cant be helped if windy day and the leaves blur..

do give dramatic mode a try if u can stand the look..
since cant get rid of noise, mite as well accentuate it..
can get the oldschool IR film feel.. 8P

whichever suits ur fancy at the time of shot..
its gotta look like ur shot and not ur copy of someone else's shot..
