IR Outing #1 (2008), 3rd Feb 2008 @ One-North

Hi All,

It has been long since we last had any IR outing due to my studies committment and also the bad weather. Start of a new year, time to kick start the outing once more. All those who are interested in learning more about IR Photography are most welcome to join. Our IR Outings has been Regardless of which camera model you are using, hobbyist or pro or newbies, all are welcome.

Please put your nick/name in the outing list if you are interested. We are an open group and there is no limit the size of our outings.

Meeting Place: Buona Vista MRT

For those meeting for breakfast, please meet at coffee shop at around Holland Village at 0800 to 0830. I will update the details later. Please indicate if you want to meet for breakfast. Thanks.

If you are talking about the cokin filters, there is a gap between the filter and the holder, this allows contamination (by visible light)... You can try to mod one to fit the round filters. There is a sticky on this

Hi 2peng, hope you have fun shooting with the group.

Using those holder is not advisable... you can try but ensure the filter is keep as close as possible.

Below is one of my sample shot (before and after) taken using my old Nikon 16mm Fisheye lens with 67mm filter. I used a black cloth trying to cover those gaps as much as possible to avoid light leakage.

sorry for late reply pcccy and photoexpress, yea enjoyed shooting with the group learned a lot, anyways regarding the holder yeah i gave up on the idea its to obvious that will get some problem and i got my first IR filter so i will try shooting again coz i didnt get good composition that time still learning thanks
