Just had this last week. Was that 'Char Siew sauce', they put on top of the noodles, very different from other wanton noodles.

Don't think it's char siew sauce, they never put char siew sauce in their noodle. It's the chili.

The sweetness came from the unique sauce they use, which I supect contain high level of MSG hahaha Just my guess only
