If you've spent all your hard earned money investing in Leica vintage cameras, you should be kicking yourself. Because while prices may increase steadily through the years, the investment returns does not significantly increase exponentially. Maybe I should buy this now that it's at such a bargain price. You never know much much it'd be worth in 2050. You never actually own a Russian rangefinder, you merely look after it for your next generation!

Haha! Interesting thought! But no lah... where do we draw the line of how much is overcharging? We'd not want such comments on our own B&S threads as well, which is why the moderators disabled comments on Clubsnap B&S...

AFAIK some vintage FSU cameras do command such a price range. There are some models which are built with very very limited quantity to commemorate certain event or people during those soviet eras.

Looking from the Fed-2 there show some unique sign (top plate engravings) from those common ones. Unless I could see them on all views I couldn't tell whether it really worth this much. Unless you are the expert, coz there are always a fake expensive commemorative FSU camera all around
