Hi,

It has been quite a while since we had any courses for newbies, so I'm thinking of doing one if there are enough people interested.

Vanue: Fort Canning Park (meet at Fort Gate)
Date & time: 15/5/04 and 22/5/04 (Sat) 2pm-4pm
Cost: FREE!

Things to share:
1. ISO, aperture and shutter, and how to count stops.
2. Basic metering techniques.
3. Basic flash photography.
4. Basic composition.
5. Any other things under the sun (and shadows) that you might be interested.

For newbies only as I would think experienced photographers would find it quite boring. Also to clarify that I'm not a pro, just an amateur sharing some notes. :)

Please put down your nick if you are interested. Ideal group size is about 10.

List for 22/5/04:

1. Gymrat76
2. Brandon
3. wodypeck
4. AlvicTay
5. Mr Arowana + Mrs Arowana
6. mmml222
7. cs_sim + friend
8. bLight
9. jeffwy2k
10. bleu (not available on 15/5/04)

All slots taken. Apologise for not able to take in any more as it would be too many people for me to take care during the hands on.

[Update on 14/5]

For all the members attending the fisrt session (15/5, tomorrow 2-4pm), please remember to bring:

1. Your camera.
2. A print out copy of the notes and the DOF wheel.
3. Pen/pencil.
4. A bottle of water for yourself.

If you'd like to clarify some of the things related to your camera or equipment, please bring along their manuals too. You are also encourage to bring along some of your photos to share with us. See you there tomorrow.
any1 to meet earlier for lunchie??

That was i want to ask , Me not so sure how to go to fort gate and i suggest we meet for lunch at S11 .then someone bring me there.

Hi,

For all the members attending the second session (22/5, tomorrow 2-4pm), please remember to bring:

1. Your camera.
2. A print out copy of the notes and the DOF wheel.
3. Pen/pencil.
4. A bottle of water for yourself (optional).

According to the experience from first session, we'll need at least 2.5 hrs just for the theory. So be prepapred to stay longer if we want to include the hands on.

If you'd like to clarify some of the things related to your camera or equipment, please bring along their manuals too. You are also encourage to bring along some of your photos to share with us. See you there tomorrow.

:)

Oh ya... if it rains, we'll meet at the second floor of Fort Canning Center near the rear exit (the building has a front entrance at first floor and a rear exit at the second floor).

Can I have your phone number? In case I get lost or anything, never been there b4. :embrass:

Bro ,

Me also kind of scare to go there . that why the best we meet for lunch first , then go together .

but still nid one kind soul who know the place well to join the lunch, if not we all will be at a lost too at the S11.....

Hmm... tell you what. Since so many people are not sure of the way, for those who like to meet early and have lunch, can meet me at the small food court outside Funan at 1pm (prefer this place over S11 as it is airconditioned). The food court is just outside of Funan's Hill street entrance, opposite of the fire station. I'll be wearing a black color Clubsnap polo t-shirt, and carrying a big Lowepro Nature Trekker backpack.
