Intermediate-Advance photography: Prime lens exercise

This last rule is actually not hard at all, since your viewfinder and LCD panel shows a manual exposure guide (in Nikon, the same bar that shows EV compensation).

If really want to learn the sunny 16 method, use a lens your camera cannot meter with - like a Ai/Ais lens on a D90/D80/D70/D60/D40(x)/D5k/D3k.

Hi daredevil123, will you be joining us too? Hope to meet you and learn from your experiences :)

My vision is not to have a "tourist" type of group sessions like these. My plan is to reveal to you guys at meet up the "theme" of our photoshoot. Of course you can shoot any thing you want but when posting the pics at our review post you just need to post what the subject matter is.

Btw, when I say "tourist" group. Thisis the type of group who will just shoot anything and post anything in the forums( nothing wrong with that) Our group is the same with the rest but when we post we post with a subject matter. Hence, it's more challenging.

Going back to your dillema, Everyone will be so busy shooting and having fun, I guess if anyone wishes to change lens (as long it's prime) no one really will approach you or tell you anything. I should have clarified that the rules aren't rules but guidelines.

Is it too late to sign up now? If it is not i am super interested!

Hi SurrealDW, unfortunately, at the same timing, I am involved in another outing geared towards guiding some newbies in landscape photography. Would have loved to joined this outing if I am free and shoot some film on a rangefinder.

I think I cannot go this time. I got bad cough. My place is replaced by frans84. Enjoy guys...

The outing was good as i manage to get to know a few more friends... :)
just sent my roll of film for developing.... will post some once i get it back from the lab...

best regards

Outing was good...also good to see those hardcore film users.

some couple of lighting (*flash) techniques too and people skills...very interesting bunch...too bad the weather is too cloudy for the "theme" that day.

Next time around lets brainstorm first and come up with multiple topics that is compatible with the current weather, location, mood.

Thanks all and please post your best pics in this thread.
