I was there earlier. The Sigma 28 f1.8 is hazy when I tested it. The sales guy said he wouldn't recommend me to buy it. I wouldn't either cos its really bad hazing.

Called them yestd, 28 1.8 alrdy sold...

Really? The hazing looks quite bad. Its uniform across the whole picture and creates a dull slightly soft image. Cuts out some light too. Maybe he bought it for parts. :dunno:

went there and saw the lens on saturday. haze was quite bad. tested the 28-135 series 1...saw a black dot inside one of the internal elements...was hoping to test out the sigma 28-135 but did not have time to wait... but very nice guy, that uncle. apologised for not getting the lens out for me on time...anyway...was such in a hurry, I think i only waited about 3 minutes...did i missed out on a good buy?

Hmm... Brand new from the states is about USD 190. in SG, it's SGD 299.

Considering it's barely been used... I'll probably try to go for 200-250 SGD

One quick way to find all B&S with the keyword "Minolta" is to use the advance search function.

Enter the following...
Keyword--> Minolta
Find post from --> u decide
Search in forum ---> Marketplace

Press "Search Now" and you see what you wanted only.

Some keywords options, looks like they upgraded to be based on commonly used notation now...
To search Minolta or Gitzo, enter ---> (minolta,gitzo)
To search Minolta and alpha, enter ---> minolta alpha
To search tripod except slik, enter ---> tripod -slik

Not really, if the seller indicated correctly the mount eg. "Minolta Mount", the search will return those as well. As long there is the word "Minolta" in the title or text body, it will be returned in the search result.

If the seller indicated "A-Mount" for a tamron lens, then it won;t be in the search result. What I usually do is find using the keyword (minolta,alpha,a-mount).

Try it and you will find it's really useful and helps to reduce time reading all the individual thread.
