haha, that's the most common one ....
others include, - last minute "falling sick" excuse, coming in about 1 or 2 hours late coz no transport, lost mobile phone no and couldnt find the place, coming in still smelling like just having beer for breakfast, bringing unannounced boyfriends/best friends/sisters, etc to shoot, etc .... :dunno:

maybe due to the stress? when encounter the great portraits master like you?? ;pWhat I don't understand is why are there so many maladies the night before or the morning of the shoot. More hand phone losts during this period too.

Thank God I never encountered such incidents before. That suck doesn't it?
Looks like we ought to be careful and more choosy in picking models.
Actually, most of the time, you won't know until the day of the shoot itself, and sometimes, all the care in picking and choosing doens't help such play-outs.
okok you people are intimidating me. well i guess.. for me, i don't want to make empty promises ya. i'd rather come out straight and say i'm not free to do a particular shoot in advance. especially if it's things like studio, where the photog has to book the studio, mua, etc. perhaps it's the influx of talents/new faces that has created such doubts that "oh we want to playplay for fun" and all, but really, there are some of us that are really keen on expanding our portfolio, or do like being in front of the camera.
Not all pretty gals can be models. Not all models need to be pretty. But models cannot be too short.
For photographic purpose, the gal has to be reasonably good looking for the camera.
If you are looking to be a print ad model, simple well taken photographs would suffice. but for catwalks and in-person-promotion 'models' a proper portfolio is preferred.
