Intelligent Life from Outer Space.....

Hi.... I know its kind of early.... but can't sleep. :sweat:

Was websurfing around when I saw this little articular - http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/blog-post/1602771/don-contact-aliens-stephen-hawking.

THEORETICAL PHYSICIST Stephen Hawking said he believes aliens do exist, if you do the math, but humans might not want to meet them.

The Times reports that Professor Hawking suggests in his latest documentary that aliens do exist. But the bad news, given our own historical record when encountering indigenous peoples, is that they probably won't come in peace.

"To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational," he said. "The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like."

But Hawking doesn't think we should be trying to contact aliens.

"If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."

Hawking said it's probably best to avoid contact where possible to avoid being used as food or having earth's resources drained.

“We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet," he observed

Myself.... I do believe that there is 'Intelligent Life' beyond our planet/solar system.... with billions of stars, which are 'Sun', its kind of impossible for us to be alone. And yes.... I also agree with Dr Hawking.... Won't want to bet on the more powerful species (them) taking 'care' of the weaker ones (us)..... :sweat:

I have read something on this before and that the chances of another lifeform out there is very slim.

To have lifeform, the gravity, the distance of the sun, the planet size, water, carbon, radioactivity level must have a certain range and that range is very narrow. Scientists also have analysed various galaxies and the conclusion is that the chances are slim. Not impossible but vary narrow

cause if they can fly from somewhere all the way here, vs we can fly to drop folks on our moon for moonwalk, they probably be better in some ways

i used to believe there is a higher being out-there when I was a teeenager, but start to question my believes when i reach adulthood. Quite disappointed to see most of the ufo videos on youtube are fake, except this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3Rc0HWPBII, looks convincing, but it's proven fake. just cant believe chinese commoner is able to produce such realistic video.

some days i meet people who behave like they're from another planet.

maybe they are the aliens you speak of.

for example, i understand the hand signal, it means keep quiet:

but why is she winking? it must be secret alien code.
