Thanks Rubber_Duck! How can you be new too? You've been a member since 2004 and you have so many posts! You're humble lah.. I'm a true newbie, with no DSLR experience (and little Photoshop experience), but have always loved capturing moments and scenes, freezing moments in photosI've been truly inspired by the works I see here on CS, and hence decided to put up my modest works to seek comments as well as make myself shoot more.
I really hope to be able to improve, but I know it will take time. So hopefully I will take better pictures with more experience!
And regarding overexposure on the pics from my floral shots, I guess I did recognise that, but at the same time, with no additional lighting (other than natural light) for what I wanted to capture, I couldn't get my subject brightly lit unless the exposure was that high (and hence background becomes overexposed). I personally feel that a white background for these photos is ok. I actually am clueless as to whether photos must always not be overexposed in any areas - is this the case?
As for composition, I do always think about what I want to capture or portray before I take a shot! So I was still quite satisfied with these photos that are posted here. Are these photos considered not well composed in your opinion?
Thanks for the feedback though! Appreciate it!
Hahaha, I see! I've seen some of your photos - many of them are good! And I do want to seek advice and comments from others so that I can see if it's just me feeling that way (I should then learn and adapt
), or whether other people have different opinions. But I will take note of the exposure issue from now on, thanks so much!
I will continue to shoot and post more, thanks so much for the encouragement! I will attempt to post some pics of Boston (where I am now) under the Travels/Landscapes gallery soon. Do drop by if you have the time, and let me know what you think!![]()
