Hi all,

I'm new to CS, and I'm very impressed as well as inspired by all the works I see here. It's amazing to see the many fantastic photographers out there. So here I am to showcase some of the photos I love, and shall attempt to post a photo a day.

Being abroad and far away from Singapore right now, I sure miss home and my hubby.. So I shall start off with this pic, that I personally feel strongly for and very much reflects how I feel..

Thanks dingzyangz for the warm welcome and comments! I like the photo without the words too, but felt it brings out my thoughts better with the whole msg of "Missing you darling", hence the addition.

I'm still taking baby steps towards taking good photos, and at the moment can only afford to play around with my point and shoot Canon (with manual controls).

welcome to apad, i had the colour problem previously as well, check your colour space setting...

I'm sorry andrewtansj, but what do you mean by color space setting? I tried converting the image to sRGB, but it still appears the same. Is that what you mean?

Hi Pearlang, yes, it is indeed a beautiful place! And with the fall colors, it was just amazing to be there This pic was taken at the bottom of Mt Elmore, Vermont, USA.

Oops, I've come to realise that I'm supposed to showcase one shot taken on the day of posting the shot on this thread. I apologise for not reading the rules closely. The previous 2 photos of fall were taken a couple of months ago.

This is one of the most interesting buildings I've ever seen.. Looks like something that popped right out of a cartoon or something.. Thought these windows look really artistic..

I wonder if this picture works for you? I was at the Boston marathon and this pic was meant to capture the expressions of the supporters watching and cheering on this particular marathoner as he ran by - he was running on 2 prosthetic legs (although the picture doesn't show his legs). I personally like it
