Because I can use MF lenses on AF bodies. Because I love the MF Nikon lenses and bodies. And last of all, because I once read in a fiction how a boy eyed a photographer's shiny, hefty Nikon and was thoroughly impressed. That was almost 15 years ago! I was totally clueless about SLR cameras then, but the brand Nikon stuck to my mind. But then again, some years later, I read a story about a PI who had a Leica... :sweatsm: But honestly, I don't think it really matters which camera one uses. Just shoot, shoot, and shoot!

When I decided to retire my Pentax after more than 15 years, I had to choose between Nikon and Canon. Nikon bodies are more well defined and it was easy to choose the body that suits my need.

Nikon's metering is fabulous, and it never fails to impress me. No need for bracketing - you finish your roll in no time. Just need exp comp on some rare ocassion only.
