Individual Folders On A Canon

Hello all. I have a friend who's using A D90, it automatically creates folders for each day as he shoots, like JPN01, JPN02 etc..... would it be possible to "force" my cam to do the same too? instead of creating a huge folder "101canon" :sweat: ?

check your manuel to see whether you can change your folder name or not . . .

Can manually create several folders and select which one to store photos. Couldn't find anyway to automate it.

I use Lightroom to create these folders on the disk when copying the files from memory card. On the cam it doesn't matter to me how and where the files are stored. But when doing processing I like to find them organized.

Look in your Menu. Does it have a create folder choice?

I'm using a Powershot and it has a choice of creating either a Daily folder or a Monthly folder.

If you use the canon utility to export the photo to computer, it will automatically create the folder according to date on your computer.
