Some spiders shot at SBG today

This one is a OOF, but I like the way it was hanging upside down holding on to its lunch. Oh ya... got other scavenger flies trying to share in its lunch too.

Here is another shot, after getting on a leaf.

Will post others later...

This one was shot under a leaf & I rotated it 180 degrees during processing so it would look 'normal'

This brave little fella (about 2 to 3mm long only) actually jumped onto my lens as I was shooting!!

Any idea what this one is? I don't think I have seen it before & it looks semi-translucent. It was also shot under a leaf.

Ok, thats the last of the lot from SBG this morning. If anyone can help ID the spideys, do drop a note. Thanks for viewing.

Spiders in mid-air... they are some of the hardest to shoot!!! No thanks to the wind

Anybody know what this is?? It was a pretty weird looking one. Very flat in coloration too.

Now, this one was about 2mm long & very difficult to shoot!!!

under a leaf... need to work on my lighting ... flash too harsh :(

Love the ant mimiking spider... :) Everytime I go macro... all my frens will take this pic... and I will be behind asking wat is so interesting about ants... lol

Now, ants or not, I will take first talk later... hahaha

Superb shots.... love them both. Can try Raynox too... a +8 magnifiying... which is a good deal... :)

Now, that's farnee.... "what's so interesting about ants?" :bsmilie: . Now you know better.

Raynox? I don't even have a proper macro lens, I got nothing to mount the Raynox on. I can't decide if I should get a Tamron 90 to shoot bugs or a Tamron 180 to shoot butts. I must say, shooting butts is a real pain in the b*tt. Tried it once & didn't get a single shot!!

Thanx for viewing :).

Taken with Tamron 90mm

Here are other spidey shots...

This one was hiding deep inside its leaf 'home'. It was a big fella, about 2cm in length.

Last one for today... not sure if it would be better if it was in landscape format

DSC_8686.jpg

Such a disappointing day :(. Hardly any bugs or spiders to shoot *sigh*.

So... shot a spider in a similar pose. Probably won't be the same one I shot months ago (doubt they live that long)
