Hoo I went to Xing Guang yesterday. Hmm as you guys siad, there r many shops selling camera stuff. What I know, the cameras are not cheap. Lens r cheaper I think. The place is in Pu Xi and not too far from Cao Bao Lu MRT (Line 1). Have to catch a cab for sure.

Huan Long is at the South of the Shanghai Train Station. It is not reopened yet according to the folks at XinGuang.

the whole building virtually uprooted and planted itself to the new 鲁班路 building liao.

u can find the shops almost exactly where they used to be in the old building. kinda creepy. haha.

oh and kingripoche heads and plates there are like dirt cheap. dunno about benro tho, i wont touch them now cuz their quality still sucked. velbon is a better bargain.

Benro aluminium and Carbon tripods are very good, the C-series and the new series, Benro ballheads have quality problems though.....

I don't know what ptoblems you face with Benro.....I have been using them for years now without any problems.
