as requested.
i dont know why part of the adapter is blocking the image when i take the pic at WA, however this 'effect' is not replicated in Movie mode. due to aspect ratio?

both are handheld shots, nothing too scientific, just unscrewing the adapter inbetween the 2 shots..

Sample 1: with adapter

Sample 2: without adapter

zooming is still v.smooth (at least to my expectations..)
the 3rd party charger is charging my original BP-809.. i think you cant charge the 3rd party BP-819 on the camcorder itself.

should be the aspect ratio as i see that some parts on the left and right have been cropped in the 2nd shot.

whats the link for the charger + battery on ebay as i am guessing you got it from there?

Canon SG still has no stock for the official charger....

found this tripod for $159,

happened to pass by Cathay and since needed a 37mm UV filter just got one. Its Hoya, Made by Tokina for $19. AP offered $20 for Konix which used to go for $10.

need to use already so what the heck lah.

I think the velbom abit over price la. Top up abit more can have something more sturdy.

so far SLS shops selling the Audio Technica ATR 55 for $115 and ATR 25 for $100. Any place cheaper for ATR 55 as well as adapter for the Canon mini-shoe?
