Has anyone tried to bring an in-house casing, ie canon casing for canon camera, below 40m? The rated depth of course is only 30m to 40m. But is there any dare-devil out there, went beyond the rated depth and snap something back before?

I'm sure there is....
;) :bsmilie:

HAHAHA...

ok, i brought a Canon A40 down to 40m once before. (dun ask me why  ) It came back alive but I didnt shoot with it at that depth.

my friend's PT015 has been to 50+ m before and another to 47m.

So should be ok, if you wanna to take the risk.
Anyway, I do not go below 30m for shoots mostly. So 40m should be sufficient for now.

I dare not take the risk ..... anyone seen a camera housing implode with the camera still inside?

 mine flooded at 3m lah.

someone bought it down to 56m before with no problem.

most floods are due to carelessness rather then housing giving way.

at least you still rem your dive theory :bsmilie:

see, dry dry, but not narc'ed yet :D

but seriously, 10bar casings hold up to 10bar?

offtopic, but who can go 90 m without pressure suits, nitrox or whatever mixture? unless our diving has become BELL diving... :p

if lost grip of camera, sink to 90m depth, who's gonna retrieve it?

Why not? With trimix and closed circit rebreather, that is the depth the icythologist worked.

You'll be a fool not to secure your gear, and if you drop it, you deserve to lose it :D

Richard Pyle worked at 100+ metres with his Cislunar rebreather. Not sure about others.

try tis for size.....
300m and all the bottom time you want (or at least) and no deco obligations.
