In dilemma of Sony HDR CX150 or Panasonic HDC SD60.

As above.
1) Sony was priced at $1099 and with trade in of my old video cam at $999
Panny was priced at 'Be@T Den$i' at renovation price $899(The salesman was eager to promote the panny saying its better compared to Sony when i 1st look at the Sony CX150 and was told offer till Sat)

2) My usage will be mostly in door filming kids and going to get it for filming my girl's grade 2 piano assessment.

3) I hope both able to work with Mac iMovie 9.

4) Is it true the Panasonic HDC SD60 is made in Japan?

5) My budget around there for the video cam i intended to buy.

Advise are most welcome. Write soon. Thanks.

The Panasonic is $ 339US at Amazon.com

i'm using cx150.. its consumer kinda camera..
standard definition: Mpeg 2 dvd
high definition: .mts or m2ts.
the camcorder comes with Picture Browser software for u to transfer videos to ur pc & do minor editing & send for burning to disk.
to edit with other programs, u have to convert the files thus the video quality will drop.

cheers!
