Improvement to Search function?

Yo Admins,
Can the search function be modified to allow a member to list out threads after a specified time eg last 2,3,4,5 hours/days without specifying any keyword? Sometimes the 'View new posts' or 'get new' functions do not list all the posts that you did not see especially if you clicked on a new message in the main screen or in one of the forums.

Eg. I last read the posts at 6pm. Then at 10pm I click on a post at the main screen or in one of the forums. When I try to get new posts after that, it only gives me new posts after 10pm and I miss out on all the posts between 6-10pm.

And I can't use the 'Search for Posts from' function without using a keyword.:dunno:

Will look into it - something like a "New posts in last 12 hrs" and "New posts in last 24 hrs" search.

Will check with the software expert to see if it can be done.

I'm not an expert but I'm in the IT line also. I know it can be done but may be tedious. One more thing is that if you wish to upgrade to a newer version of vBulletin in future, it may be a problem. Though I don't wish to make this hard for the expert (knowing he's probably with other things in his life), I think this is a good feature, especially for those of us who like to keep track of what's happening in CS.

One request: can the hyperlinks to the first few and last few pages of a thread be shown in the search?

I miss this feature from other forums.
