Impressions of the Nikon 1 V1

Great sharing tomcat.
I'm considering this set or just get the P7100. Price is the factor. But than I still my consider installment, since credit card had drop to 3%.
Mind sharing the lag time between shots?

Since I only shoot at a leisurely pace of one shot at a time and then check if I need to retake the shot or not before proceeding to the next shot, I have no idea about the lag time between shots. But for a camera that can shoot still images at 60 fps at full resolution if need be, I seriously do not think that lag time between shots would be an issue with the V1.

.The V1 does not have art filters or special effect filters of any kind like the m43 cameras.

Not during shooting but happened a couple of time when pulling the camera out of the bag to shoot.

To hold the Nikon 1 firmly, make sure to rest, and press your right thumb firmly on the leather piece on the left of the dial.

I ordered the last one in white for my white V1 last night and it's already marked as shipped (free shipping some more). Very fast processing, that one. ;p

Just bought a Nikon V1 this week and I took it out this morning to try it out. I am happy with overall performance of the camera and the kit lens. In particular, I am amazed by the high ISO performance. Though it is not noise free, but it is very good considering the size of the sensor.

1 Nikkor 10-30mm lens - ISO 100, 1/800 sec, f/4.5

1 Nikkor 10-30mm lens - ISO 100, 1/400 sec, f7.1

1 Nikkor 10-30mm lens - ISO 100, 1/1000 sec, f5

1 Nikkor 10-30mm lens - ISO 800, 1/8 sec, f5.6

Can I check with the owners if the V1 comes with live histogram?

Also, I heard that the spot metering does not show you the effect (i.e. exposure brighter or darker) on the evf or LCD when you meter, how do you guys deal with that?

I think nowadays the focus is more on quality of sensors then size of sensors
