Yes.. with both hood and high quality multi-coated Rodenstock UV filter on. But then I have gotten flares even without filter on many times under similar lighting and back-lit conditions anyway with this camera.

I see. Seems like the X100 is quite prone to flares. =/
 

Take out the UV filter and try. Am of the opinion once that is out, the flare is significantly reduced by the lack of internal reflection between the front of the lens elements and the back side of the UV lens.
