Image Quality - D2x vs D700

I am sure many like to know how well the new D700 perform in term of IQ.
I read many condemn the D2x and wonder if those who condemn it actually ever seriously use it or not.
From my test I find the colour reproduction of D2x was more accurate.
It has a dimensional depth while the D700 seem flat.

D2x with Nikon 18-200 mm VR, AW, A-priority at F4.0, ISO 200 (0 Ev and no PS done)


D700 with Nikon 24-70 mm F2.8, AW, A-priority at F4.5, ISO 200 (-0.3 EV and no PS done)

Just load the D2XModeI picture control into the D700.
