thankyou all, appreciated.
hmm i'll try to get a picture of it soon but not immediately. its really a simple set up

the location is at bt batok nature reserve :D

Glad you liked your shots!

#1 is tricky to get the lighting inbetween the leaf, and you did well. But the overall compo is too center.

For the rest, good focus on the eyes.

I would be more than extremely pleased with these shots! Am inspired to learn macro too.

The flash is mounted on the hotshoe and pointed straight on, then angled 45degrees to the right.

yo bro, this part a bit don't understand. You mean the whole camera is tilted 45 degree to the right?:)

Wah, your setup makes me really paiseh...I haven't really put my 105mm to good use...:embrass:

i agree with you that its centre but since there were two leaves cutting across i thought a central composition could work. Noted on this! thanks!

actually the bounce card i was holding it. after acquiring the new lens, i could mount it on the lens focusing ring and it can turn easily 360 degrees too! very convenient now haha but of course sometimes holding in the hand is more objective.

Ur macro shots are excellent,

Swee

cool... innovative way to manipulate the lighting...

Well Well.... The Best Marco Shoots ever seen so far..........

i believe the more reflective the bounce card is the better to fill up shadows and balance the light. I hope it works for you and many others who may try it out too
