the reason i say special, is because some of my friends who love the camera, dont mind building their portfolio. we are 'special' in the sense we have radical piercings and tattoos. but we wish to add that payment is appreciated and also the contract for photo leasing is also necessary.

previously, we had one photoshoot where our pictures were put into a cd but the problem was that even though we liked the pictures, we seriously had nothing to do with them. hence, right now you pay us to build your portfolio, etc.. in the sense that it used to be like you take pics so we BOTH can build portfolios but the thing is me and my friends dont need a portfolio. so thats why its become a paid thing.

I think i have to agree to deadpoet ... payment entitles the payee ownership of pictures ..since your paying for it.

Also, there should be sample pictures before a photographer pays ... how will they know if they are going to get what they are paying for ?

So if I'm not wrong, this arrangement is for photographers to pay the model for the photo shoot and not getting the full rights to the images?

Once the model/s are paid to shoot, the photographer/s has the right asking the model/s to sign a model release form, to use the images to him/she see deem fit, and the models has to waive all rights about the images for the money he/she being paid for.

if you want to limit the usage of the images, guess the photographers also want to limit the amount of money paying also.

And also, portfolio is very crucial to any models, photographers, or MUA, which able to showcase the ability of the models, photographers, or MUA to the whoever interested to hire their service or talents, unless their works has been publish everywhere or well known in this field.

Let's see if I can understand how this works. U want us to pay to shoot your friends. Then next time we want to use the pictures for commercial purposes, we need permission from your friends, and probably need to pay them again to use it.

oo1, we are not the models you see in suicide girls, etc. and will arrange a meetup before ANYTHING. then we can discuss all t&c's.

oo2,we are not demanding alot of money. maybe TFCD or you can make an offer that is reasonable. we are only doing this because we are tired of having people come up to us asking for a free hour's photoshoot for his fyp or something.
