I believe that the 35mm UC Hex is a copy of the V4 Cron a.k.a Bokeh King.

Simply means that it is not as clinical as the ASPH. Depending on your style and preference , sharp and "perfect" photos with the ASPH or something with more feel.(UC/V4)

Still very subjective and you never know till you have some time to shoot with it. That is why going into RF is such a slippery slope !

Oic, looks like its worth a try

U mean for d V4 Cron or d UC?

hahaha.. it seems like CV's getting no votes. No CV fans in da house.

One day should you decide to shoot mirrorless, the CV 35/1.2 II is really nice with its 0.5m min focus distance! :dunno:

For the Hex UC, its indeed very similar to the cron v4... anyway, here's a few shots of the Hex UC on film to share

.... and its finished in glossy black paint no less!!! Only 1000 copies made

Strange that no one talks about the Canon 35/2 ltm... its in glossy black paint finish too and renders very similar to cron v4!

Not a collector lah bro, more like i have symptoms of chronic G-A-S i think!

I already have the CV 35/1.2 II and Cron Asph... and I love both of them to bits.... but due to other commitments, I'm thinking of which one I should let go. The CV is definitely good for its .5m MFD but the size is still...... ugh... :D

I'm using d cron 35 asph on my NEX 7 with hawk's helicoid adapter. Cuts down d mfd to 0.28m. Awesome combo.

The canon 35/2 was one of my ex too, to sharp for my likings...
The cron v4 also left me for someone else... sad, think will hunt for a "white" cron V4 if i can find.
How is the Hexanon 35/2 LTM, i think i only slept with it once...haha

you mean the adapter can change the mfd to 28cm?

Yeah. The hawks helicoid acts like a sort of variable extension tube.

How do you like the summicron 35v1?
UC has one disadvantage that it cannot focus nearer than 1m, which can be the pain sometimes. The glossy paint is nice but chip quite easily. Other than that, i have nothing to complain about.
