it really depends how hungry the sale staff is at the moment...
based on what i hear, u will have better luck if u approach the correct shop and correct sales person..
good luck..

I think they might throw in a freebie upgrade rather than cut prices la.

It depends on:

- how great your bargaining skills are
- the actual profit the salesperson intends to make (and how willing he is to lower the margin to make the sale)
- if the original quoted price gives the salesperson room to manuveur in the first place

well you have the bargaining chip then.
you can always choose to walk out if the price is not right, and the shop will need to find 2 customers to buy what you could have bought.

depends on how you bargain with the sales person.
discount varies from everyone.
good luck! =)

Guess, it also depends on what model you are buying.

If high end, possibility of more discount ... entry level, maybe lesser discount.

But again, it is up to the shop, and like what photoart added, "Nothing is impossible"!

Give it a try :)

Cheers!

you can try this ancient trick.

dun straight away ask for 2 sets yet.

ask for the price (of cos from a reputable shops, get quotes from 2 shops that is most reasonable and you willing to pay, dun ask why, read more) first.

ask for this cam and be ready to pay at the counter... then suddenly shot the sales person a question, do u get discount if u get another set at the same time.

if the sales person accept, good for you

if the sales person says no. then say, sorry i change my mind, cos the other shop offer me some discount, so i thought you will also, then just walk off (LL, you got to go to the second shop with the price quote you willing to pay and buy from there).

anyway this trick often works in thailand, but rare in singapore. :)

thanks for all the replies..

and to sinned79 : wah.. i feel damn guilty if i were to do that.. cause my dad used to own a store selling stuff..

if ppl do that i'll feel damn pissed.. ask me take out and everything then tell me dont want =/

maybe you can bargain for 1 set first, get a good price, but don't let him prep for any payment from you,
then bargain for 2 sets. and see whats the best price he can give u
