post processing i guess it's ok, but i think to keep the photos it will need lots of CD... :(

just realised from the review u post that the writing speed for MD is the same as CF, no matter wat MP u used... is it truth?

Can't perceive any difference, unless you shoot in TIFF.;p

Hi Chen Wei,

I believe it should depend on the microcontroller on the DigCam itself, whether it can take advantage of faster CF cards, otherwise, they could all be about the same on some DigCams.

I reckon, those Pro DigCams will have better/faster microcontrollers that can read/write faster on the cards that are rated to be faster.

Just got the MD too.... $380 at MS Color with PCMICA Adaptor and warranty card.

Got mine 2 months back at Storage Studio. 370 after some really tough bargaining. Comes in proper IBM box.

AP - never the best price for MD and it comes as OEM in sliver foil!!!

Hi there, I'm totally new to the Microdrive thingie. I'm just curious what does the adaptor to the Microdrive do? Also, after buying the Microdrive, do I need to get a CF reader?

And also, one final thing is, where do you think I can get a reasonable deal for the IBM 1GB Microdrive?

Much thanks ahead! ;)

The PCMCIA adapter lets u use it to read & write data on a notebook PC with a PCMCIA slot. If not, u need a CF card reader to connect to your desktop PC via USB or Firewire.

Read the posts above to see where you can get it.
