quit smoking ninelives....health is always more important. Since NS you have been heavy smoker.

Take care. Hope to see u soon.

Why the thought of resigning?

Ain't you the one that is so lost when you are unemployed for a few months?

Job dun really come easy nowadays. Cherish it unless you get bullied on the job.

If it's a medical problem, consult a doctor. A 2nd opinion might be required sometimes.

Hope you get a speedy recovery.

Cheers.

May I share my experience with u on a real non-medication way to cure tonsillitis.

during 1985, my father was more or less having the similiar situation as of u now.

He was a heavy smoker as well, and the ENT specialist advised my father that he had only one option since his tonsillitis condition could not be anything worse, that was to go for a surgery and to remove the tonsils.

My father sought for 2nd opinion from another specialist, he was given the same advice. Then he went to see a Chinese medicine doctor.

The truth is, tonsils (according in chinese medicine) is almost being considered as the first defence wall from preventing your body to get virus/bacteria infections. As info given by megaweb, "these clusters of tissue contain cells that produce antibodies that are helpful in fighting infection".

Removing the tonsil will also mean that u are going to have the first immune system to be broke down completely. Knowing that, my father was 100% unwilling to have the surgery. Who knows after the tonsil surgery, one might get sicked more often since the entire immune sytem is getting weaker.

He took the Chinese medical doctor advice.

1) Quit smoking
2) Sleep no later than 12am and must have at least 7-8 hours sleep
3) Drink a big big cup of water when u wake up in the morning
4) and drink lots of water/chinese tea during the day
5) eat one papaya aday (this is very important)

My father was very determined to follow all advice given by the doctor. His condition improved slowly, but obviously as well. After 1.5 years, his
tonsil is just fine and until now, there is not any re-infection of tonsillitis.

I really hope that my advice would be useful and applicable to u.

Take care my fellow member.

anyway, i went to see the same doctor today, i asked him to refer me to nuh. will be going to see specialist tomorrow.

Yup, quit smoking, drink lots and lots of fluid, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, eat less oily and fried food, go for fish soup etc, and good luck!

We must organise an outing one of these days with Lionel, Jeffrey, Chia Vi etc! But you must recover first!

i'm on the Helpdesk, each day has to talk for 9 hrs. For my case, how to talk.

You may want to consider some quiet space/time for yourself, esp if you are feeling work irritation. A close friend of mine once ticked me off for feeling working blues and advised getting some quietude. After taking his advice, it really helped, got my life back in perspective.

Try mediation or reiki or even listening to classical music. On the last one, if you cannot tahan, then listen to Kevin Kern or Hillary Stagg - sure calm nerves. :)

Streetshooter can help?

Calmer nerves and cooler head helps our bodies recover faster and gives better resistance.
