I was about to purchase F30...

My F30 is very new, but so far I have had no problems if I format the card in the camera each time I start a new shoot (or after downloading all pics on to PC). I've been doing this with my DSLR, and older P&S, no prob ever. I have seen probs when I deleted some pics thru a PC, put the same card back into a different cam and shoot - the cam tried to shoot but couldn't save the image.

Try using a CF-xD adapter. Works almost 100%. I know it's a workaround...but it works!

I always get error when i use my laptop's build-in card reader to read the XD card...now i just plug the USB cable to my camera to transfer...cant be bother to buy external card reader...:bsmilie:
IMO its not a big problem til you have to avoid buying Fuji...

The camera is great but the Xd sux big time. If you are not careful, it is easy to spoil the card. Unlike other storage, which allows cut and paste and also editing directly from the cards, fujifilm, Xd does not allow.

Xd sux big time !! I am left with 2, 1 gb Xd card which are worthless now nad guess guess what - I bought them in "pounds".

Really... if Fuji is willing to bite the bullet and produce a camera using SD, I think they will have a winner.

Nope not cheap. Can't remember but it was more than S$50..

The way I see it is the xD is a one-time pain. If the camera suits you - just get it over with. Get from a reliable shop with a full warranty and start enjoying that camera!

Eastgear has one, accept, afew formats, such as MS, SD XD to CF $30.

For xD to CF adaptor, please remember to bring your camera or card reader to test. Compatibility issue is quite a problem. Actually not only xD to CF, almost all formats will have some compatibility issues.
