We are constantly reminding ourselves to be more authentic with our imaginations, eyes and so on, thus maintaining this false self of a betrayal of ourselves. What we can or cannot identify with what we see is all important isnt it?
One of the main purpose of creating an image is to let others enjoy through their interpretations. So let these divine gifts of the viewers greatly benefit the creator and not be wounded by their false self.
