So what was the cause of failure of the lights?

superjinx said:
A decade using the same brand of lights, we had never heard about this issue. We were informed of the cause after sending the faulty set back to Germany for inspection.

Perhaps rather than closing off discussions, the thread can be split into Alice's original thread and Bobman's feedback on the Multiblitz lights - the latter issue is worthy of public interest akin to numerous threads discussing on product pros and cons found elsewhere in the forum.

Dear All,

May i suggest that since its this is a totally different issue, regarding lights, both parties may wish to settle this matter amicably and privately and if both parties are in favour, issue a joint statement subsequently. This would help negate all the speculations thats going around and of course, prevent further escalation of what is already a very terse situation.

Thank you. :)

Anyway a good teacher teach 40 pupils in a class, there are surly have some outstanding students and some result not very good students. Can we say a teacher is verg good when you see the student with outstanding result and say the teacher is lousy when you see the student having lousy result? Anyway everybody know "people" like to "explain" with good reasons that make others think that the "person" is victim!

My English not very good. Sorry to use the chinese han yu ping yin to say something from the bottom of my heart:

"qing zhe zi qing, zhen li zi zai ren xin"! What kind of people we are, people who know us know it very well. SLCC do everythings with conscience!!

Sorry if this is a wrong place to start this thread - but HOW DO I GET A PHOTOGRAPHER OR THE PHOTO SHOOT ORGANISER TO PAY ME MONEY WHICH HE HAS OWED ME?

This person keeps on delaying payment eventhough I told him I really need the money - he has not paid me since March eventhough I had a few sessions of photo shoots with him - he claims that he lost a lot of money organising photoshoots which features models who are not local.

I don't want to be nasty but is there ANYTHING I can do - or at least to PREVENT such a thing from ever happening again in future?

Thanks very much.

Hi Alice,

I'm delighted to see you pursuing your interests to such a great extent. I've been kept somewhat informed by my mate in S'pore and also here in ClubSnap.

Regarding your matter, you could practise the collection of payment upon arrival at the shoot. I encountered 1 Aussie model who practised this when I hired her. Honestly, I was a little put off by her but I could also understand that she probably had a bad experience with others who hired her but didn't pay.

Since asking for full payment upfront can be unpleasant, ask for at least half (in cash) before you begin. For the kind of work you are doing, I would have thought you do this.

Why do I get the impression that many group photo shoots organised by ClubSnap members are on a no-profit basis? It's logical enough that models are paid but if the organiser earns absolutely zero (or worse, miscalculates and ends up spending his own $$ and makes a loss), why bother organising shoots then? What's really motivating such an activity? To win a popularity contest among "the brotherhood of men"? Duh!

So the winner is the one who persistently provides the prettiest girls or the most naked ones?

I don't think she is stupid enough till never ask to be paid after or before the shoot. If they had work together before the model will fall into the trap easily, the organiser can play "bang" with the model which giving many good reasons like: aiya, no time to draw cash from the bank, can I trans the money to your acc? or blah blah......la!(not as bad as them which can give many "good" reason)

Weather organiser make his $$ or not is not the model ****ing business! The model can't increase the $$ after or during the shoot, so as to the organiser! They are not allow don't pay or drag the model's money. If all the organiser claim they don't make $$ does that mean all the model have to work for free?

I believe that the time has come to close this thead since both parties has spoken, how it going to be resolved is entirely up to themselves.

Any other further disscusion (somemore not of the topic) will be pointless in any way.
