I just got the K10D!

If you are concerned with the weight, you can always go down to the shop to try and had a feel of it. For a serious-amateur digital SLR, The K10D is not considered very heavy. K100D is a lighter alternative if you are looking at Pentax. I have seen gals holding heavy Pro DSLR so i :dunno:

and K100D's weight is much more managable..

I'm waiting to try out Pentax K10D, but since i'm a girl (quite a small size one too), i was told that weight should be a consideration.

but i really love K10D!!!... can anyone advice on that?

Haha, try it out first before you decide. I know the K10D is pretty hefty.

Also - whether you really need the ups from the K100D to the K10D.

While previous Pentax DSLRs before the K series are rather decent as well.. I think it'd be safer to stick with the newer models - they are one step up imho.. Unless you are tight on budget.. In which case the rules of the game change! =)

K100D with kit is available for $860 at OP though! <3

I have the DS also, but mainly use it when travel for it's easy to use, size and it takes AA battery.
