Try the camera workshop at peninsula hotel (building opp the peninsula plaza where cathay foto is), cost should be approx $100 i think (anyone who knows better pls correct me)

You can do a repair/complete overhaul of the camera at Minolta Service Centre at Funan IT Mall at level 6 (Opposite Challenger). I just collected my father's X700 camera back from there yesterday (23/5/2004). It cost about $160. Could be more depending on the condition of the camera.
