hey emperorwendy and deklan ... go start 'A Lomo A Day' (ALAD) threads leh .... my sole ALAD thread is very lonely ...

hahah, maybe i can add on to urs? im still trying to get the hang of shooting with this tiny thing!
and composing photos can be kinda tricky with that rubbish viewfinder! haha

hmm .. i'm ok with that .. but dun think the apad guidelines permit that ... why not just share some shots on this forum?

viewfinder? dun bother lah... in the spirit of lomo, shoot from the hip!

it takes some getting used to though... =/

all in all, just have fun and share some digital lomo shots =)

i dont mind sharing some up here, if i could...
just some colors i like, no shots were taken out of the way, im still recovering from a bruised knee so everything is just from my route to and from home...

one thing though, im not sure if it was my mistake while resizing or the settings on cam or something else, but the photo ratio varies in 2 ways...?

wow! nice shops! .. looks like the minimo's lens is wider than the vistaquests? ... not 100% sure ... but seems wider ... here's one that i caught today =)

yeah, i think it's the same as the vq1005, at 2mp, it's ratio is 4.5x6 (or 3x4) at 1.3mp it's 4x5

By tunnel effect you mean the vignetting effect?

Could you post comparison shots of the same scene with all 3 cameras so we have an idea abt what's new in the Minimo? Thanks!

The change of the camera lens from 6mm to 9.3mm which gives a better 'tunnel effect' = a step closer to traditional LOMO....

so it's actually more tele-photo than the vq ah -.-""

yeah, i second that suggestion. is it possible for u to take a shot of the same subject with the vq and the minimo side by side ... it would help us better understand what u mean..

from the schematic diagram looks like the diameter of the lens area is 9.3mm, not the focal length.

APAD very "xiong" lei. Cause battery for minimo dies so fast that i am broke just by buying battery. LOL. Saw ur APAD. Very nice pictures indeed. See if i have more time can start a APAD next year. HAHA.

And deklan and minimo pics very well taken too!

Posting up new images of my own.

Lonely Raining road.

Expensive pic. Because of taking this pic, i drop the pouch containing all the other new lenses for this baby. I bought the minimo with some jelly lens actually that gives a very nice effects like fish eye and starburst. But all gone now before i can even use them properly. Very sad.

Very overly exposed but i like this pic nonetheless. Gives a very light at the end of the tunnel feeling. Taken during the morning at my school while walking to class.

All posts by minimo have been deleted as he has been de-registered for having a clone account.

:nono: Looks like he got a bit too enthusiastic with promoting his product

Anyway, emperorwendy: the minimo/vq eats up batteries as it remains powered up even while switched "off", just on standby mode only. Maybe you could get rechargeable batteries or fashion a tab to cut off the power supply when the case is closed (if you're using SD card)

i use rechargables, and also slot of piece of paper in between the batt and contact point when i have batt in and not shooting ;)

haha ... i used to do that .. i'm using recyko rechargables now ... 1 charge lasts me a week or so =P ... dun need to bother with a piece of paper or plastic anymore =P

btw, looking at the minimo pics. .. i feel .. they're a tad too sharp leh ...

I lost my GP Batt together with those mini lenses. Gonna buy new ones. Reckyo is quite good if they can last 1 week. Wonder if they will work with my old GP powerbank... Energiser last 60-80 avg. Currently using ExpiredYogurt's method of slotting paper. Last me longer now.

And yes. i think that minimo pics are bit too sharp and they dont look like from the camera? (I dont know) maybe because i suck and cant get those quality photo out from it. LOL
