Yoyo TS,
Some kind of food can be taken at 90degree, but usually of the food shooting is around 30 to 60 degree from the subject focus point.
especially those soupy noodle or dessert while the bowl depth in consideration.
if you just shooting with natural light source, shutter and aperture must do some fine tuning.....if u able to get a small lightvto highlight the top part subject it will be nicer. just look like ur post #346.
I suppose on food shooting, highlighting is very important. not many people can catch it right at one-shot.
