I think this would be 90 degree angle. Try halfway, and let the chopsticks be in the background oof. Nice colours!
Aiyo.. i turn turn turn until blurrr already.. :bsmilie::embrass:
Thank you!

tthis is better:bsmilie:
I like the bokeh..... but....
there seems to be a lack of 'focus'... what should I be looking at...
Actually I kinda like the original shot, just that the front of the dish being OOF is distracting.
it is not about focus points, it is about Depth of Field (DOF), google this term if you are not sure what it is, u need to use smaller aperture (larger f-number) to have more DOF, you were using F1.8 in your shot, try increase it until you are satisfied with the DOF.
anyway.. really nice colors you have there!
fully agree with this, the story is about the GREEN BEANS, so it should be in focus, rest is secondary..the beans really look delicious..
45 degree????
Like this?

page one of the thread was normal...
now i'am at page 2 and starting to feel hungry! =D
I suppose this shot is the 45 degree angle they are saying
Shouldnt have view this prior to my lunch. >.<
Makes me so hungry.
I think the 45 degree mentioned is not a rotation of the pictures but somewhat like the point of view when a person sits at the table and looks at the dishes. Something like the Crayfish and Clams Pasta.
Personally, I think the shots from the top view are rather nice also, and the effort in adding other elements is evident such as the Coq au Vin. One small point, before you take the shot, look out for small areas like the stained handles, they can reduce the "beauty" of the shot after you put in so much effort2C so this are just comments coming from a layman who gets hungry looking at the photos. Anyway, compared to the Strawberry Swirl Semifreddo post you made last time, I think there is much of an improvement in the presentation here. cn=(organic)|utmcmd=organic|utmctr=marumi%20vs%20k![]()
wow scrumptious! could i request an aglio olio + bacon strips shoot? xD
back to photog (zz)... you might wanna try stopping down your aperture to say f4 or f5.6? looks like you're shooting at somewhere around f1.8, in which you have a smaller depth of field to play with. also, try fiddling with 'clarity' in post processing?
